28OCT25 - Broccoli, Carrots, Chicken, and Rice


Recipe:

Bring 1.75 cups water, 1 beef bullion cube, salt, and some lime juice to a boil.

Add chopped carrots, broccoli, 1 cup Jasmine rice, and a spoon of minced garlic. 

Stir.

Slowly reduce heat to level 2.

Let sit covered for 20 min.

Remove from heat and fluff with a fork.

Add previously made chicken.


Notes:

There was very little flavor. Try adding cumin or other spices next time.

Some rice stuck to the pan. Maybe I need to add butter/oil before boiling or maybe I need to stir with something other than a fork.

Rice was a good tenderness, maybe a little slightly overdone, potentially start 20 min timer before reducing heat.
